Who else thinks these oil level sight glasses are a pain in the neck? Mine is located so low; you almost have to be laying on the floor to see it.

I have had 3 Vulcans that all had the eye glass oil level. I agree... pain in the butt to level the bike, then quick read the oil level.

I'm with you there, But where else can they put it??
A few times when holding my bike upright to check the level, It felt like I was going to drop the bike...

Question, is there a dip stick with these bike/trikes?

Rosy

I can't talk for all bikes but All the bikes I owned over the years, [10? Japanese] every one had a slight glass and NO dipstick...

Nope; no dipstick on mine. Really wish there was. On my current ride; the sight glass is really buried and bending down that far is a real chore,....getting back up is even worse. Gonna see if I can rig something up with a dentists mirror and a small led flashlight.

With most bikes if you put a piece of 2 by 4 under the kickstand then you won't have to hold the bike up right, That will get the level close enough, Its not necessary to be right on the top full line..

You can buy those with a 2' extendable handle at any auto parts store, Harbor Fright, HD, Lowes. that's how I check my Suzuki.

I had a Kawi Nomad with a sight glass and I always checked it by setting on he bike, holding it level, and lowering a mirror to read the glass.
