I would like to know why all of a sudden gas prices have went up? does it have something to do with POTUS meeting with PM of egypt.

Also, reportedly, they have dumped the "Winter blend" gas and are starting to refine the "Summer blend" which has different additives, which, reportedly, costs more to produce.

That being said, I did hear, on one of the financial channels, that gasoline inventories were actually up (?). So much for supply and demand. :gah:

PS: Gas went up about 20-30 cents here in Indyanner. $2.39 for reg. here now.

The only difference between summer and winter blends is the butane added in winter to make starting easier. If there's a "glut" of gas, prices will go down, not up and the president can't control gas prices one way or the other.

Think you have it bad. Gas is $1.31 cents a litre here in Canada. There are approximately 4 litres per gallon. Do the math then be happy at how lucky you are.

On average the gas tax in Canada is 33% higher than the USA...

2.49 per gal in southern Ohio today, supplies are up, I have not check what crude oil is per barrel right now but I'm guessing it has gone down again. change over to summer blend I think is joke on consumers , to stop adding butane is what... shut off a valve, or do they have to swap out a part.

anyway I still cost us more during summer when it should cost less since they do not put in additive.

I have a joke of a oil lease. When the price drops I can't buy food. Fixed income was supposed to be offset by greedy Americans and their gas guzzling cars. Hasn't worked out like that. May have to become a Wal-Mart greeter if I want to have a beer.:Shrug:
