Welcome, Woody! :wave4:

Check out as many trikes as you are able, research the various installers available in your area, and ask questions of the very knowledgable folks on this forum. Personally, I had a lot of fun doing this research, and I'm very happy with my results. I hope the same for you.

Welcome to Trike Talk from SE Missouri.:wave4: All trike are a little different, you need to go to a dealer and test ride whatever they have. See which one feels right for you. You need to test ride all the different makes before making a decision.

Welcome Woody. I had a Can-Am Spyder RT for 3 years, and about 23K trouble free miles. Then on a trip to the Grand Canyon it died on me in central Mississippi. I'd babied that bike, and made many (expensive) changes to improve it, and it let me down. Now, take that for what it's worth. I have a lot of Spyder riding friends who haven't had any trouble. But, I had lost faith in the bike, so I traded it on a 2013 Goldwing Lehman trike, and haven't looked back for a second. The GW is everything I want in a bike.

Compared to the Spyder, the GW has a lot more power, a larger gas tank, runs on regular gas, gets better gas mileage, is cheaper to maintain, has an 8K mile oil change interval (compared to 4500 for the Can-Am), and IMHO is more comfortable. It was also about $8K more expensive, but worth every penny.

The Spyder is very expensive to have any work done (about $300 for an oil change).

Ride them all and read these posts. You might check on SpyderLovers.com, a great Spyder forum.

But wanting to get a trike. Trying to decide between Tri-Glide, GW trike and Can Am. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Woody

I had a can am for 3 years, Interesting trike but after it left me stranded for the third time. The relationship ended and i traded it in for a Tri-Glide. The Tri i just ride, The can am [spyder] i was always up close and personal with it fixing things and in some cases waiting weeks for back ordered parts.
