Well we dropped off the Lynn's 07 SG to the dealer along with the Title.

This way he can try to sell it while the weather is still nice and people

are looking for bikes. Now she has to wait until end of August for her

2010 Hot Red Sunglo Tri Glide. We took a ride to another dealer that

had 2 black 09 Tri Glides in stock. I brought the card Harley sent to

us to Demo any bike and get a gift ;-)

LOL .... Didn't tell them we already got one on order. Lynn got to

demo the last one at even another Dealer so it was my time to enjoy

the ride. She came along but this Dealer made one of their employees

lead us on a 10 mile loop. It was OK because he knew all the local

roads with alot of curvy roads and that is what I wanted to see for

myself on how the Tri Glides turn. I did not find it a problem at all and

I truely enjoyed the whole ride. Now I don't know who is wanting

the new Tri Glide more ...

Lynn or me .... LOL .....

I told her she will definatly not miss her SG once she spends a

whole day riding her new bike.

BTW .. I told her it was her 30th wedding anniversary present (June 30th).

Rob .....

Having just gone through the wait, only to have them move it back a month because of problems at the York plant, the wait was endless, BUT, now that I have the Red Hot Sunglo and again had to wait for days of heavy rain to stop before I could get to ride it.....finally I am getting to ride it and it is amazing, like I am floating, so beautiful and I love everything about it, I will be leaving on my first long trip on this trike, leaving Maryland and heading to New Orleans on July 18th, I don't know what route we are taking because someone else is mapping out the trip, anything of interest along the way that anyone might recommend seeing?

Good luck on your wait, but you will forget all about it when you pick it up and drive it home!!!!!! I wish you miles of happiness and good luck!

Sounds like Lynn will be fighting you off when she has that new baby in hand. LOL!

And a big congratulations on 30 years together!

As a woman, I can assure you that you just racked up a bunch of points with that anniversary gift! :wtg:

So I called the Dealer today to see about
the ship date on Lynn's TG. Got bummer news (sort of) ....
They pushed back the date to mid October now :-(
Maybe since we didn't have any Summer up here the good
weather will hold of until JANUARY ;-)
Or maybe I'll have to fit a set of skis off the sides of the front forks !
I remember when Lynn got her 1st HD in the Spring of 2000.
It was a 2000 883 Custom and she wanted to do 2000 miles in
the Year 2000. So here we are riding up in Southwestern NH
in November stopping every 15 miles or so, so she could put
her hands down by the motor to get them warm. Got to give
her credit ! It was her 1st bike at 40 years old and she did it !
I guess I better go get her a snowmobile suit to wear over her
heated gear before her TG comes in .... LOL .....
Rob ....

That's a bummer for sure--another coupla months to wait! but the idea of skis on the front end may work if they don't use too much salt on the roads...

Trike On

Oh man it's gonna seem like the longest coupla months EVER. But everyone on this board can tell you that once you get your sweet new machine, the wait will have seemed worth every minute.

I'm sending you strong good vibes for good weather reaching deep into fall--maybe she'll be able to ride over Thanksgiving weekend!

Whiner? NEVER! Just an expectant mom, and you know how those hormones are ;).

Rob and Lynn, you are about to experience the same thing...LOL!

Well Lynn's been riding her Dyna since she handed in her Street Glide so our
Dealer could sell it while bike season was mid way. That was the last week
of June and still no trike yet. Well we dropped off the Dyna today to have
the intake seals replaced because it started to run crappy and the dyno guy
we bought it to found it and told us to get them replaced before he rejets it.
While at our Dealer they looked up about her trike and found out it now got
pushed back to Oct.22
Needless to say she is
Rob ....

You'd think a dealer would know not to mess with an expectant mom!!!!!

Gee it would have been nice if someone had told you without you asking. It is not any secret that the factory has cut back and shut down for a little while.

Well the Dealer repaired the intake gaskets and Lynn says the Dyna runs 100 times better.
We went back there today because the dyno guy was there so we let him
finish dyno-ing it and re-jet it (it is a carb model). After he was done she
took it for a ride and was pleasently surprised it rode even BETTER !
More roll on power and runs nice and smooth thru the whole RPM range.
She also went and asked our Saleswoman about her TG and yup ....
she said it would still be a Oct. 22nd ship Date from Mother Harley :-(
One of the service guys said that it was probably better it comming latter
because maybe the bugs they are having will be fixed by then.
Rob .....

I called yesterday and as far as they can see it still is being shipped
on Oct.22nd. They told me to call tomorrow and they will check again.
They did get in a Red Hot Sunglo Street Glide Trike :-(

How's the tempurature been in your neck of the woods, been starting to dip into the high 30's at night here.

Same here !
Getting cold way too fast. High's only in the 50's during the day :(
3" of snow just above us in Central NH but it all melted same day.
Already had the Dealer put aside a rear bumber & heated grips
for Lynn's trike for them to install on its arrival.
Rob .....

Well since it took them so long and it all ready SNOWED here ...
We decided to add a new option that just was released for the
Snowbelt States ONLY !
;)
Rob ......

Hoping you get some riding time in when the Stork arrives. I know when I head up that way around Thanksgiving, theres still quite a few bikes on the road heading over to Kelly's H.D.. Anyways, you take late delivery, you make excuses to head south.

Hmm, now there's a thought - one of them, and hubby wouldn't have to worry so much about a truck & plow!! :p

So just how excited is Lyn?? LOL

So just how excited is Lyn?? LOL
She stop being excited about mid September and she wasn't even as
excited to ride even her Dyna. She even took the picture I took of her
on the trike during Bike week out of her pocketbook. We even never made
it out to the Quabbin or a few othr places we ALWAYS ride to every year.
We have too many pets and no one we trust to travel anywhere for
a few days. Once it is here she may get more excited though ....
And we still may get a chance to do some rides we missed !

You never know - October and November can be quirky around here. There may be a few "warm" days left - at least that's what I keep telling myself!! ;)

And with warm clothing and those heated grips she'll have....

On a side note, did Lyn manage to find work to keep her certification?

Rob I have that option on mine. Takes awhile to install but work great. I have a ski on the front. How do u drive the front one ??

On a side note, did Lyn manage to find work to keep her certification?

Yes she did !
She got a job doing per diem over in Leominster at an Assisted Living place.
Her certification is now good for 2 more years. She may look into home
health care now that she got her certification.
Rob .....
