I previously posted my frustration with the auto canceling turn signals but now i'm really at the end of my rope. My signals are cancelling even during slowdown, braking and downshifting.
I will find a way to bypass the auto part. Afterall, big rigs don't have auto cancel. Are class A drivers more intellige😔😔😔

knowing the way things are today, the turn signal cancel is probably run through a computer.
No doubt. Everything nowdays is made to make life difficult for old ppl.
Eg: the National Park Service is bias against us seasoned ones. You need to own and operate a smart phone or computer in order to reserve your vehicle to visit glacier park whereby giving the www personal info.......😔😔😔😔

It appears to be run through the BCM.

2 wheeled bikes have a calibration feature and calibrated with the bank angle function.
I have read this on other forums and honestly have no personal knowledge or experience, other than it indeed is run through the BCM.

Since our trikes don’t lean, I’m sure it’s similar to the 2 wheelers … but yet different.

Now that you mention the bank angle gizmo / function i do seem to remember when i had a softtail the book mentioning it. Electrical isn't my strong suit but i'll figure a way to bypass the cancelling.
Thanks

What's been done to the trike? Have you tried changing the bulbs? It could be the internal contacts in the switch pack need cleaning.Try doing a wiggle test. The Electrical Diagnostic Manual is usefull. I wouldn't try bypassing...what are you going to do-bypass BCM?

I should have asked this question first: Any codes?

I agree and would not mess with the BCM.

I personally have no experience in this area, but a possibility on this:

The trike BAS (Bank Angle Sensor) is also tied into the ā€œAuto Cancelling turn signalsā€ .
BUT usually the trike (or bike) will also usually have starting/running issues.
Possibly a bad/defective BAS.???

Also if purchased used, it’s a possibility that an aftermarket kit was installed too?
