Norman/Newcastle, OK riders

We, (Dean & Suzanne), have recently purchased a 2005 GL1800 MotorTrike and are new to the forum. Not new to Goldwings or trikes; just thought we would join this forum and introduce ourselves.

Looking for good roads to ride around central OK, or anywhere for that matter...

Would appreciate any info on where to get carpeting for the trike. Need it for both upper and lower trunks. Thanks...

Welcome to the forum. I live the the north Texas, Dallas, area and often ride the roads of your state. I have found excellent riding all along the Arbuckels which is along the south area of the State.

One of the best rides you will find anywhere starts in Oklahoma and ends just across the line in Arkansas. It's called the Talimena Scenic Byway and runs from Talihina, Oklahoma to Mena Arkansas on Oklahoma 1 and Arkansas 88. It's 54 of the best motorcycle miles your likely to find anywhere.

As you come into Arkansas you will pass the Queen Wilelmina hotel or lodge. I have stayed there overnight and used that as a base to explore these wonderful mountains.

Welcome NAVVETS! Was in OK. year before last really enjoyed it.Went to the Chisolm Trail museum (closed) Sod House Museum (closed).Not open on Monday.Red Rock Canyon was pretty.(it was open).RIDE SAFE.
