Normal?

I am putting PC V Autotune on my 2013. I just took the plugs out of the bungs on the Rinehart True Dual Headers. These are the larger bungs located a few inches from the heads.

I am only getting 28 mph on a combination of two lane and Interstate conservative (break in) riding.

I did not expect to see these plugs looking like this.

Does this look normal?

My dealer does not have a dyno so I am sure they tuned the PC V with their standard download. I am hoping to get some of that mileage back with the autotune.

Your fat in some areas, the mileage should be better than 28. If you spend the time to make the changes from the auto tune you should be able to get it dialed in pretty close. Auto tune is kind of a misnomer, in essence it requires some tuning on the operators part to get it dialed in.

I don't know what mods you have on the bike, but what map # are you using? Also what mods have you done on the bike ?

Rinehart True Duals, SE breather, and PC V. I do not know what map they put in. I will check all the numbers once I get it back together.

28 mpg sucks! Wife and I are getting 34 to 36 mpg. She has hit 39mpg on a ride from Laughlin Nv. to Las Vegas and back. Long, flat, doing around 70mph. Our trikes are relatively stock, slip-ons to make them noisy, SE Intake to help them breathe, and whatever MAP the dealer put in when he changed the in/out. Plugs burn a medium brown.

Good Luck!

By the color of the plugs looks like your running lean.:Shrug:

Its tough to read plugs these days with the goofy gas we have, I've seen a pig rich condition and white porcelain on the plugs with the outer metal showing the soot. His fuel mileage shows he has an issue, 28 mpg isn't where it should be at. It would be interesting to see if his oil has any smell of gas, it shouldn't.

Do the autotune and let us know how it worked out. Make sure you recheck your plug gap before putting them back on the bike.

Good Luck

:Agree: It all starts with the initial tune.

I get 34 to 36 on the highway and interstate on a 2010 triglide with a tts2 tuner, rush true duals, and rush mufflers with 1.75 baffles, and a big sucker air intake. It runs great and never pings.
