Please try to talk me out of any more vacations this year:(

I now realize why I have not taken a 16 day trip before.

I am way behind at job number one and a little behind at job number 2.

I had to tell myself, self, how will I prioritize everything?

I will eventually catch up on all the jobs and honey dooos.

I will have to record my Nascar and football (Roll Tide:D)games for later viewing.

Cut, mow and bush hog between rain storms.

Ride whenever I get a chance? Talk on the forum.

Does some of this sound familiar now days to many of you?

bdn, I don't see the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You get caught up maybe even a little ahead and then go again. That's what it is all about. And those trips are worth every bit of catchup. I know your kidding but it really is worth it right?

Reading this has me thinking (always dangerous, of course).

So.......... Mike has been out on that Street Glide almost every day for two years. He even signed up for SS about a year ago, and you know, he claimed that made him feel old! But I've noticed that even that little check coming every month has him grinning as he rumbles down the driveway. He's been blaming the economy!!!!!!!!!! He says construction is reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaallllllllyyyyyyyy slow!!!!!!!!!! Now I find out that Bryan is beginning to sound a lot like him. Ted is supportive. What's a wife supposed to think? Is this no-work-thing-for-two-years really the economy, or just a reason to ride? :p   ;)

Actually, Bryan. By all means take every opportunity to ride that baby. It is way too fine to leave locked in the garage!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I retired the first time in 1999. I realize now the reason I retired was so I could find more work:(

Uhhhhh... Bri, aren't you going somewhere at the end of this month??

Mr. Wizard, Thunder Beach is a mandatory event so it is almost like work:D

It's good to keep busy I guess. If not I would sit around and eat and drink and get fat (er).

Hmmm--there must be something going wrong here at the Young household. The Chief retired in 2005, so he could go into business for himself, so he said. Well, four years later, he's looking forward to getting his SS next March. Oh and that business he meant to start? It got left in all that dust that flies when he rides his bike--every non-rainy day (and some rainy days) of the week!

The only thing wrong with this picture is . . . I'm still working. (But only about 3 more years!:D)

HEY!! I represent that!

Will be a while before we get SS.. they keep changing the age requirements. I can see them now at the SS Dept.. "Hey Mable, three more died this week before getting a dime. We might make quota this month!"

Man retires rides bike/trike, fishes, makes mess in garage/work area. Lady companion still working because man is older than Lady companion. I don't see the issue yet.

Except in my case my partner in life has been pretty much a kept women all her life. She has always gone shopping while I worked.
