Hello everybody!
Patrick from Gilbert, South Carolina...

I'm happy to say that I am picking up a "new to me" 2020 Freewheeler this Saturday morning. I really appreciate all of the insights and thoughtful conversations at this site. I've ridden motorcycles for 48 years, but my knees are not what they were, and I'm hoping that this trike will allow me and my wife to stay in the wind for a few more years. I'm fully aware that this is not a motorcycle, and I plan to keep my crusty old Goldwing and my even crustier '73 Superglide, but I am having a small case of the pre-trike gitters. As least I know to try and not take off the left fender when I buy my first tank of gas.

Welcome to TrikeTalk Patrick! I think you will get just as much enjoyment from your trike as you did in 2 wheels. I know I have. It is a bit different but it is a great workaround when the knees get older. Take your time getting used to it. Hardest thing to get used to is to actually turn the handlebars in the direction you want to go. It sounds odd but it is the Achilles heel of many a new trike rider.

Also includes trying to put your feet down every time you stop

Congrats. Looks like it’s got a Mustang seat on it, you will likely look at new rear suspension soon if it hasn’t already been replaced. We’re lucky down here to have great roads so it’s not that bad but once you go north a bit that changes. Enjoy bud.

If it dosnt have a breather bypass that should be the first thing you do even though it's 5 years old. DK Customs has what you need and get rid of that awful stock air cleaner. You already learned how to ride a trike when you were 2.
