Hi everyone

I'm looking into my first trike, Iv been riding a 150cc scooter here in Sydney, Australia, for a couple of years however I plan to do a lot of traveling with my husband in the next couple of years, and I would rather do it on a Trike then a Bike - confort wise and stablity too are big things that have influenced my choices... as well as how much pull power will it have?

However here is my delema, - Which one to get??? Is one better brand better then the next, is a bike converted more powerful then a rear end mounted engein?
I intend to pull a Teardrop caravan behind it, I know its something that can be done but I dont know how much a Trike can pull, which will influnce the size of caravan I buy... as well as the kind of trike i get,
I really like the look of fenders! LOL

any sujestions and advise would be great thanks in advance :D

Cass - A hearty welcome to Trike Talk! You will not regret your decision to trike your bike. I know that Australia has weight limits for trikes and I think that may be a factor on choosing a kit. I am sure some of our Australian members will chime in on this. The towing capacity of a bike that is triked is still the same as before, plus you have to add the weight of the kit. There are people here a lot more knowledgeable than I that will help. Keep us posted on your progress.

Hello Cass, and welcome to TrikeTalk! Wow, you are starting on a big adventure, and it is going to be fun! Quite a change from riding a scooter locally to pulling a teardrop trailer with a trike on long distance rides! But how exciting :). I know you will get some great advice from our members, and as ThirdWheel mentions, our Aussie membership will be quite "up" on laws and needs in your area.

Thanks for the replys so far, I should clarify that Im not going to get the caravan anytime soon but I would like to get a trike that I can add this to when Im ready...
Also Im thinking the most long distance travel will be done in Europe (well fingers crossed :) )

if you are planning on going to Europe, take a look at Rewaco. You might be able to get some kind of fly in, pick it up, ride around and bring it home with you deal. Besides, their bike conversions are just plain awesome looking.
