thought I'd sign up.

Been visiting once in a while.

Would like to see more Spyder conversation and will do my part.

Bought my base model F3, SM6 last Aug. and am enjoying the heck out of it.

No problems so far except replaced the drive pulley/sprocket at 3400 or so miles due to the dreaded red dust (a precursor to failure).

Will be doing as much service work myself as I can. Have added daytime running lights, Matazu bags with brake/turn lights, and relocated mirrors to the handle bars. That's it for now.

Hope to learn more about my ride.

Dave Welcome to Trike-Talk......:wave4:.......

I had the sprocket go out on my 08 Spyder at around 30k..[My dime]

When it went it also took out the main shaft...And that was all she wrote for my Spyder days...

welcome aboard.did you use different/extended triple trees?

I'm thinking you're asking about the mirror re-locate?

I used the caps from Lamonster on the stock bars. They replace the top half of the cap next to the throttle on the right and the switches and clutch lever on the left. Tried to find clamps to fit the 1 1/8" bars but had a hard time finding them and the ones I did find were too thick for the mirror stem, used p-clamps but they were marginal. Hated to spend the money but I must say the Lamonster mounts are darn good quality. And I like looking sideways to see the mirrors instead of looking down.

Welcome to the from from cold and Icy Pennsylvania stop by and ramp up Spyder conversations, they are curious machines at best. travel safe FRED

Not much going on here with Syders, but I do like to read about them when the occasional post appears. As a Spyder owner, I'm sure you know spyderlovers forum.
