Rode to historic Port Townsend yesterday. Brilliant sunshine, mid 40's. She in her new toy, me on the Tri-Glide. About a 40 minute ride from home. All rural.

Trolled the quaint downtown, wife doesn't know about trolling. she went too fast...I explained it to her later, "you just weren't going slow enough...";)

I figured out I like riding behind her, so I can see folks' reactions. I saw a guy step off a curb staring. Wherever we stopped, everybody wanted to talk to her. I was nothing. Funny.

Happy New Year to y'all! I think this is going to be a fun year!:Dnew years ride.jpg

I am curious about the laws in Washington regarding the red trike. Does it require a trike endorsement and is a helmet required while riding it. My understanding is that with a steering wheel and seat belts no endorsement is required. I couldn't find any info on the DOL website about a helmet. Too cold for me to ride right now, not to mention wet. I'll start getting the trike ready in about April.

Now thats cool, time to set up a CB or some type of radio communications for those troling drive-byes ThumbUp

It's licensed as a motorcycle here in WA, so you have to wear a helmet. But no endorsement is needed, since it has automotive-style controls.

Had to make a few phone calls to find insurance on it, ended up with a specialty ins broker, but it's about the same cost as the H-D.
