New Trike

I am finally getting my 2013 Goldwing converted to a Hannigan Trike. I'll need to ride her about 4.5 hours to the installer, but then another 4.5 hours home as a trike. Been riding on two wheels for over 50 years and hope to be on three wheels for another 50! The motorcycle season here in Gunnison, Colorado is very short, but I'm hoping to extend it a little with a trike. Be safe and enjoy whatever you're riding.

1. Don't put your feet down:xzqxz:

2. Your now wider than a 2 wheeler, watch your turns lest you curb a wheel or hit a gas pump island:cxtv:

3. You now must turn the handle bars to steer. Hope you got a rake kit:confused:

YOU BOUGHT ONE OF THE BEST CONVERSIONS OUT THERE:clapping:

Smooth ride. Your passenger will love the extended wheel base. One of the easiest maintained conversion there is.

Been on these forum for years, been triked(with a Hannigan, of course) since 2010. Can't remember seeing any posts complaining about anything on a Hannigan unless it was an Installer problem.

Ron, I hope your conversion goes well and you have many miles of trouble free riding. Post a few pictures of your trike, a before and after would be really nice.:)

Ron... Welcome to 3 wheels.... only advice I have is, on the ride home, at first, do NOT exceed the speed limit posted on a curve sign - after you become more comfortable with the handling - LET HER RIP! :)

To add: On the curves if you feel like the trike is trying to throw you off...just press your foot down on the peg or footboard that is opposite your curve...ie, if turning to left, push down with the right foot and vice versa.

Ron, congratulations on your new ride. I’m looking at American Trike myself and hope you have many years of safe and memorable riding.

NECE Trikes

Had the kit installed by Monty with NECE Trikes in Windsor, CO. He done an incredible job and had it finished over a weekend. Had dinner with Monty and his wife at their house on that Sunday after the install. Great people!
