New Trike owners in East Central Indiana

Just had our 1000 mile service today on the Trike we purchased 3 weeks ago. We have enjoyed it quite a bit and have added quite a few items to the bike since we purchased it. Hope to add the "mics" to our helmets next week and see what that's like.

So far so good. No wheelies yet! New bikers all-the-way-around.
Hey guys! Welcome to TrikeTalk

Thank you. Our trip home from the dealer (70 miles) was quite the learning experience for me. Ran into a 10 mile traffic jam on Interstate 70 that was stop and go all the way. It was 95 degrees outside that day. I lost 10 lbs just sweating, learned about "heat on my right leg" and all that kind of stuff. Still, it was fun. ;)

I'll bet by now you are getting pretty comfortable with it though! Sounds as though you are well on your way.

Welcome to trike talk.
looks like a very nice bike! I just got mine on the second of September. 258 miles so far. 2011 Triglide Vivid back/merlot sunglow. You will love the intercom, i had to do a custom install for the Harley intercom system, they are much larger system than the rest. What area of ind do you live in? I was raised in Ft Wayne/Kendallville areas. Ride Safe.

welcome!! i have a '09 tri-glige w/18k. i switched to red line 20x60 motorcycle oil.(only 60 wt. available) and use their shockproof gear oil. it real thick. as other '11 t/g guys have reported transmission bearings going out on them. many believe that syn3 usn't thick enough for transmissions.i get mine from jaggs on-line as i live 80 mi n. of indy.
the lift kit is nice too. it raises the rear-end up 1/12". and you might sway out the OAT
OUT-SIDE-AIR-TEMP GAGE FOR A OIL temp gage. i did that this week-end.
just a thoght if you really want the t/g to run a lot better with 2 up , consider a soild gear cam by S&S. that eliminates the cam shoe wear. i had that done by a local shop
at 11k, and really like the improved performance.also at 11k there was significant cam shoe wear on the plastic track. i also put a jagg universal oil cooler in the left crash bar area. its 6x9" i think. obvously i removed the lowers to allow maximum air the the eng cylinders. i also use the PEX clamps on the male oil cooler fittings after butter lubeing them with automotive sealant. and used hi-pressure hose from NAPA. on the in-board oil cooler i used the h-d existing wing clamps. i have had absolutely no leakage problems. course the '09 didn't come with a CAT so others can advise you on that. just
thinking out loud. ride-on. and happy trails. lb
