New to trikes and 3 wheelers

Welcome David........:wave4:Glad your still going to ride, And not let your recent misfortune turn you into a couch potato...:clapping:....

Gotta keep those "knees in the breeze". Try a Spyder. The ones with the SE transmission shift with your thumb and the braking is all on the right foot. I don't have your problem, but I love my Spyder just the same. Great ride.

Welcome from Louisiana....

David, I'm a right A/K amputee. There is a group on Facebook called "Amputee Motorcycle Riders". Great people and a tremendous amount of information for any kind of amputee. I'm sure there will be be plenty of response to any question you may have. NEVER GIVE UP !

Thanks Everyone

Thanks everyone for the welcoming messages. Had to go to the local H-D dealer recently and was able to get up close with several trikes and one free wheeler.

Found I could get on a freewheeler with a little effort but not so with the full dressers due to the tour pack being in the way.

Does anyone know if or how much the additional cost of getting a fairing with the electronics goodies are on a freewheeler. Since my wife can no longer ride due to a very bad back we will trailer to destinations and ride around there so I don't need a tour pack but want the radios and such.

Thanks for any input.

Welcome to the world of three, good people here I'm sure you will find the right answer .:wave4: travel safe fred

:welcome: David, glad to have U with us.

Somewhere tucked away in bookmarks on my laptop is a supplier for all types of equipment to modify a trike.

Welcome from Missouri!

I ride through your area all the time on my way to the River road and Grafton.

Doc's HD in South St. Louis county has done work for amputees.

The service manager, Tim is a Navy Vet.

Also, check Teds, they are a Can-Am dealer & have models with automatics/panel shifters.
