Hello, I will take delivery tomorrow of my dark Cherry, #274. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. This is my first trike, can't wait to hit the road. Has anyone traveled with a dog in the back seat? Ideas or suggestions on his safety. I'm thinking a short leash hooked to his harness.

Welcome to the board Big Dog, I know how U must be on pins and needles. Ride safe and post some pictures when U can. Be careful with the dog, don't let him distract U from ur ride. Maybe someone will chime in with some ideas for U.

Hey bird dog, glad you could join us!! Like katfish said, just take it easy at first and get some miles under your belt. If you've been riding bikes very long remember how WIDE that trike is. You'd be surprised at what the fenders will catch...Ride safe. As for your dog riding, check out this pic of our friends.

Yes the backpack type holder, my sister suggested her old baby caddy. I'll figure something out this weekend, dealers running alittle late. He wants me come pick it up Saturday morning, one more night.

Taking the dog along

Took delivery this morning, and Miles rode very well behind me with a small leash hooked to his harness. We rode from Frederick,Md. up to Gettysbury,Pa. and rode around the battlefields. Miles was fine, barked at other bikes that went by, and at folks in the town square. I'm really happy with my retirement toy.
