New Mods on the Trike

How does it handle with the apes looks really nice! ride safely fearless:clapping::clapping::clapping:

Handles very different. I do not have to lean at all and the with me setting up straighter it seems to balance out better for as I am 6.3 / 230. I like it. Thanks.

Looks awesome!

I'm thinking of going with 14" Apes on mine. Thinking I might be able to get by with out having to do anything to the cables etc...

How??

Of course by bike is a TG, but the dealership was hell bent on making me use all new cables when I put just a set of 2 inch pull back bars on it.

I even quoted Harley's own instruction manual with the bars that said 2014 and higher had no need of either new brake or clutch cables. It only indicated an extension harness for the wiring. They flat said they wouldn't do the install without adding new cables. I lack any mechanical ability, so I was kind of at their mercy.

I won in the end. During the install, the tech that did it showed the service manager that he could do it without changing either the brake or clutch cable...with plenty of room to spare. I'm really glad the technician was honest, or that would've cost me an extra $200.

I think they all think since you are spending a ton of money on a conversion to begin with, what's another couple hundred. It's easy to spend some else's money you know.:AGGHH:

Funny you should mention this:D. I've always been the type for, in for a penny in for a pound. I'm going to go with the full meal deal the 1st time vs wishing I hadn't pinched pennies in the end.

Really nice I was wondering how the higher and wider would work out. It should be like power steering again nice really nice. ride safely fearless

Higher is a matter of comfort...I like higher than stock, but can't go as high as I like anymore cause of a bum shoulder.

HOWEVER, wider definitely give more leverage, making steering take less effort. :)

Clutch info

Did you find longer cables (Clutch, Brake) from a shop, or did you have them custom made? I have 17" Evil Ape's I want to install, but can't find the cables. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, sorry so slow forgot about the post. Had to wate on harley for the long cables, then on a certain crush washer do to both breaks working I tandem on the trike.
