My name is Rob. We are in Hudson Falls , Ny. just 10 miles from Americade.
My lady an I are in the process of buying a Trike Kit for our 2008 Gl1800. We have narrowed it down to two kits, decisions decisions.
We hope you can give us some imput on this.

Hello Rob, welcome to the Trike Talk Forum where you will be able to enjoy the friendship and knowledge available to all. You have a great question and I think Nana gave you some excellent advice - know the installer. I have an 08 GW and unfortunately had a poor installer whom I thought would be good. Luckily I have the expertise to rebuild the poor installation with success. There are still some things the kit manufacturer did that I don't like but I can live with it. Let us know which two kits you have narrowed it down to (and perhaps some supporting logic that you used) and please check out the installer carefully. Good Luck

We have narrowed our decision to Roadsmith or Motortrike. They both look good to us and seem to be quite reliable. Kits are priced very similar. We like the bigger trunks on them. The both seem to ride well, even though we only got short drive on both.
If we do the Roadsmith we will try the install ourself. Any thoughts everyone.
