Hello everyone, new member from Central California. I recently purchased an 04 GL1800 with a California Sidecar Trike Kit. Sure is different than riding my Yamaha Roadstar. Hopefully I will get comfortable riding the GW and will be selling my Roadstar soon. I'm sure I will have a lot of questions in the very near future.

Welcome...consider keeping your roadstar (at least another season), if you can still ride it. You may end up missing two wheels, and want both. I have both, and enjoy riding on two when I ride in large groups with no trikes.
As far as getting used to the trike....it takes a minimun of 500 miles-don't give up, just keep plugging away. You will gain confidence with time!:wave4:ThumbUp:D:xszpv:

Welcome from the correct, I mean right, coast. And ditto what that clown above me said about pretty much about everything.

Welcome from the Great State of Texas! Was out your way a couple of years ago when Scalp Hunter took me to Yosemite and Sequoia N.P. Beautiful country! Glad to have you aboard!

Blondie Gal, I spent a year in your part of the country. 1966 Fort Hood.

WELCOME to TRIKE TALK....I still enjoy 2 Wheels sometimes also, but would survive if all I had was a Trike.....
I still enjoy riding the Roadstar, but I am a little slow on the uptake. Would probably forget to put my feet down after getting comfortable on the trike.

Welcome to TT from Southeast Missouri. I'm sure you can get answers here on any of your questions. For me it took about two short trips before I got use to the Goldwing I had. After that.. watch out here I come.:Trike1:

I was going to post some pictures of my "new" GL trike, but I came across the listing for the trike in the classifieds. If you would like to see the pictures, you can see them under this thread listing in the classifieds. 04 Wing/05 CSC IRS CObra. I think I got a good deal.
