Hello everyone so glad I found this forum. I am from Indiana and ride a C50 my husband rides a Yamaha. I have a tow pac 2 on the back of my C50 I have added fiberglass trunk and bags. I went this way instead of a true trike because I was not sure I would want a trike. I will never go back to 2 wheels. Now I want to upgrade to a true trike I am in love with the goldwing trike. My problem now is that my bank that offers financing on bikes state they can not find a book value on a goldwing trike. Can someone tell if there is a book value some where? I wish I had 30+ grand in my back pocket but I dont.
Thank you for having me.

Hi 2monkeys! Welcome to TrikeTalk . We have a lot of very happy GW trikers in our membership. There are some excellent deals out there on used trikes, and these folks will know exactly what you should look for before you buy. I know they will be able to answer every question you have as you transition to a "new" trike, so don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad you still have your C50 to ride while you are searching.... don't want to miss out on the joy!

Most places don't have a book value on a trike unless it was factory made that way, such as the Stallion, Tri-glide or the VW based Trikeshop type rides. The bank we went through took our printouts of trikes comparable to ours we got from Craigslist, eBay and Cycle Trader. Wasn't a "book value" but it did establish a market price.

Ozarkryder is correct. My bank took information I brought them, plus talked to two dealers within 120 miles of our location, and came up with a value that worked for both of us.
If they are serious about your business, they can find a way. Good Luck and ride safe.

2monkeys, depending on how new of a trike you want most trike dealers can give you a price on the kit then add the price of the bike, that will give you a base to work from. Some credit unions & banks have values on trikes. If you are looking for used GW's thers is a guy in western Kansas that is a Champion dealer, he has a used 1998 GL1500 for sale. Go to www.dmtrike.com He may have something else in the works, Dick is good to deal with. Good luck in your search. Jay A.

Don't know what state you live in, but if you are a Florida resident I'd suggest you look at JR Harris Trike Sales in Inverness, Florida. He has quality used trikes with very reasonable prices and he does finance.

2monkeys , up grade your profile so we know where you are. A good bench mark is a low of $13,000 and A high of $40,000+..... I never see or saw a Goldwing trike much under $14,000 that didn't need a lot of work or was into 200,000 mile range. A lot of nice wings out there in the $17,000 range . A 2000 Wing would be $21,000 and add about $1,000 per year as you go up in years . Figuring the Kit installed on a Motorcycle is $9,000 or more . hope this helps a little.

Thank you everyone for you answers. I am in Indiana. I have not figured out how to do the profile. I looked at 2010 pearl white goldwing 1800 with the CA trike her price was 41000.00 so I am going to lean towards used with low miles. Thanks again

welcome aboard 2monkeys. Good luck in your search. There are alot of good used trikes out there. $41 seems like a high price to me. Get on e-bay and do some research. There are dealers on there also.
