Hey everyone,

Found this forum a couple weeks ago when I was researching how to trike a bike. I inherited my brothers 03 Road King and though Ive been riding motorcycles since I was 16, the bike as is is a little too much for me. It breaks my heart to think of getting rid of it, as it was his pride and joy and modified with lots of chrome and Willie G skulls, which honestly isnt my style, but I respect it just the same.

Its been in my garage a year, and it needs to get back on the road. Hence why Im looking into making it a trike so I can enjoy it. Im leaning towards the champion IRS. The Frankensteins look great, but I need storage for all the woman crap I tend to take on rides.

Im in the process of finding a local mechanic to get this project started.

Ps: been trying to register for over a week, and kept giving me a spammer error. After researching this on vbulletin support forum, and a couple more tries, found out it didnt like me using my first name as a user name. Just putting that out there in case others have this problem.

Natalie........Welcome To Trike-Talk......:wave4:......

I Would recommend IRS.....

Welcome Natalie from one RN to another. Your about 60 miles North of Newport, NC where my wife is from. So a question for you. Is your RV'ing full time or RV'ing for travel nursing?

The later being the direction I'm considering in a couple of years.

TC

thanks

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I met up with a mechanic and looks like Im gonna order a kit! I got the approval from a couple of my bros closest friends, and that means everything. Im gonna keep the bike as much as possible in its original look.

Fla Hiker, yes i am a travel nurse, good catch! Originally from clearwater/st pete area. Moved to raleigh 05 and been traveling 4 years. I got my RV for housing while away from home. But ive been in this area 2 years now, just keep extending!

Natalie, welcome from San Antonio, Texas. Your brother will be smiling down on you when you get his beloved Road King converted and back on the road. Post a few pictures when you have time.

My brother lived in Washington, NC for many years. I enjoyed that cool little town when I visited.

Hello Natalie

welcome to trike talk from east Texas, we have been in the Maggie Valley area a few time, many, no all the roads in that area are grate. hard to find a bad road.

when you get up & going with the champion kit, ( witch is what I have and love it ) you need to make a gathering and put some faces with the names

Well I thought I had a profile pic, but I guess not an avatar. This is the Road King as it is now. Most of my rides are about an hour away, as my bike is a ninja, and they're not that great for distances. No telling how far Ill go once the road king is triked!

Welcome aboard Natalie that Road king with a Champion/IRS will make a very nice trike. Good Luick
