New member from northern Alabama...

Just joined the site at the suggestion of 69ragtopGS. We are new to triking as of this past May. We ride a 2004 GL1800 with CSC kit. I am 58 and have been riding since I was 13. We both enjoy short traveling/touring on bike and now trike. By short traveling I mean nothing more than an 8 hour ride to our destination, with a few exceptions on rare occasions. Iron butts, we are not. I do most of my maintenance and repairs and always have. Just something I enjoy and take pride in doing within my abilities. I'll be hanging out here from time to time as time allows.

Hello and welcome to the website from the U.P.of Michigan. I spent some time in your area a few years ago after several tornadoes tore up a few towns. Nice people, we were cleaning up with the big boom trucks, disaster response. I have never seen houses blown out like that, unbelievable. A brand new combine, had been delivered a hour before the tornado, was nothing but a big red pile of scrap metal.

Thank everyone for the warm welcome. Bustedwing, thank you for the help in cleaning up after the tornadoes. My son lives a just few blocks from where it touched down. The same are was hit twice within a year. The 1st one went just south of my son, and the second just north of him. He only had roof and fence damage from the last one.

Thanks for the invite, Tommy. We have been known to make it up to Wartrace on occasion. I think it is nearby Bellbuckle that has the Moon Pie store and a restaurant that we sometimes eat at.
