Re: New member

Hi, and welcome to TrikeTalk! Cold in Ohio too.......but you can always count on a warm welcome from this group on the forum. I'm glad to hear you didn't give up riding after your health scare. And the more you ride the trike, the more fun it will get :D

Re: New member

ecke, don't feel alone in the cold - it was in the single digits when I headed out for work this morning. Here in north Alabama, we probably won't see 40 until at least next week. Supposed to get some snow in the next few days. Anyway, from one cardiac patient to another - enjoy that trike

Re: New member

Welcome aboard ecke877. I hope you are recovered from the heart attack. Take care of that. Glad you went to triking instaed of giving up. We are glad you did and have joined us. It is down right freezing here in Key Largo. Only 55 today and freeze warnings tonight. For us southern people its almost parka weather except we don't have them down here.

Re: New member

HEY I didn't say it wasn't riden weather. Throw on the leathers on hit it. I ride til the trike slides off the road.

Re: New member

Welcome! The thing to remember about being a cardiac patient is that it will get those down who let it! You're taking a BIG step in the right direction by getting out & riding again. I got "a zipper" in '01, so I know getting out & doing stuff is IMPORTANT. I'd guess you still have a few months for weather to warm back up to where you can ride, but the important thing is staying active! It was 62* here in the desert today & my trike kit is still 4 days away. DRAT!!

I dunno Ted, but seems to me that if the trike "slides off the road" where you are, it's probably caused by something with a name like Andrew and leathers ain't gonna be much help.

Re: New member

Andrew: was there, done that. Not a very pleasant experience, but I lived in a great neighborhood. 4 weeks without electric but we made daily gas runs for the generators. No generators after 11 pm. Boy was it quite at night. Did not recognize my own neighborhood coming home. No signs, no trees. And allot of no roofs and no house. We were on the north side of the eye.

Re: New member

Hey ecke877 - welcome to TT from SW Missouri. Wife is originally from Hastings, and I grew up in Farmington. Moved south to get milder winters and more riding time. for the most part it's worked, but these past few weeds have been in the teens with snow. Don't evny y'all up north, mom (in Farmington) spilled some water in the garage, turned cold and froze the garage door to the floor. Didn't get the door open for 3 days.

Re: New member

Ecke877 Welcome from n.e. Pa. Enjoy the ride and take care of the ticker. That is one of the reasons we are going trike on our hog this year. ride safe. Jim&Mary :)
