Welcome from Florida :wave4:. My dad was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base for a couple of years when I was growing up.

Welcome from SW MO! If you haven't found it yet, here is a great thread for new trikers from experienced riders. Lots of good info there.

With your wife's knee replacement, about post 34 there is a couple of posts on getting onto a trike. A member here, John Luciano, posted a very useful video at post #38. In the passenger case, and depending on what knee, she can swing her leg over then sit on the passenger seat, or sit on the passenger seat then swing the leg over the gas tank. If it is easier, she can even get on from the right (aka "wrong") side of the trike.
Anywho... glad you're with us. As Red Green says: "Remember, we're pulling for you. We're all in this together."ThumbUp

Yo, yo, yo, from Illinois.

Been to Dayton many times visiting my brother-in-law when he was stationed at Wright. Had(rest his soul) a good golfing buddy from Middletown. We played Grizzly as often as possible, fantastic course, but mostly played the base course at Wright and the Country Club where he maintained a membership. The family loved Kings Island in Mason. Don't remember the name of the par three lit course in Dayton where I made my first and only hole in one. Great times and fond memories.

Welcome from PA

There is a great group of people here on the threads all willing to help again welcome ThumbUpride safely and often fearless

Welcome from Ky! I have relatives in Akron and have ridin Ohio several times, great state to ride in. Enjoy the new trike!

My wife also had the knee surgery and she has had problems with it ever since. We've been riding our 16 Tri for a little over a month. She loves it, much easier for her to get on and off and if she needs to shift around a little more while moving it's not the problem that it used to be. Glad you joined joined us, stay safe.

Welcome to Trike Talk from SE Missouri. I've had both knees operated on and a trike is the only way to go. Take your time getting use to the trike and ride safe.

Hi, from a newbie from Iowa, Steve. My wife and I have some of the same issues, so I understand how you got into the trike scene. BUT, you are still in the wind!:D

You familiar with any Hart or Schneider family members? I cross that damned old draw bridge pretty frequently and Fort Madison is part of my old stomping grounds. My uncle in the fifties was the railroad agent at the station in Fort Madison. Used to do a lot of fishing on that river frontage.
