Hi All,

I've been riding on and off for over 45 years and have come to the realization that I now need 3 wheels instead of 2 (that was a hard decision, not easily made).
I have a 07 FLHR, and have an appointment to have it converted by Motor Trike.

I'm really looking forward to it!

Glad to have you join the forum, bdsnooks. I think you'll find -- once you've ridden it a hundred miles or so -- that you're enjoying the new wheels a whole lot! I know there are other texans on the forum. "Grimm" just recently posted a thread looking for other trike riders in his area and got some responses, you may look for him and make contact. There are great people on here and you can make some great friends.

Snooks, glad to have you with us! Like Nana says, after you get used to that "spare tire", you're gonna love it..Just jump right in on the forums and ask questions or answer or just tell us what you think. Ride safe...:)

Same decision made by mu husband, Steve, although I did encourage him. Now he can't start the trike without me standing helmet in hand ready to go! Hope you enjoy it as well and welcome to the forum. People are so nice and helpful here. What part of TX are you from?

hey bdsnooks- Welcome to the site. Motor Trike is a nice machine. While youre at Motor Trike in Troup getting your trike done, be sure and keep a close eye on a guy named Richard. He's their main trike builder. :) You'll also meet a lady named Tonya who is at the front desk in the showroom and takes about a thousand calls a day. Shes a very nice person with a wealth of knowlege on trikes. Ask her for your MT T-Shirt and be sure and ask her who called her called her to wish her a happy birthday.

Congrats on your new trike!

Welcome bdsnooks, I just joined this Forum a month ago myself. At 62 I decided to go 3 wheels 2 months ago just for the safty reasons. I will be converting my 07 RoadGlide soon. I've been riding the last 2 months a "97" GL1500 with CSC conversion and have put about 1000 miles on it in the 2 months. I really do like the 3 wheels. I was a little hesitant at first, you know the ego and all, but now it's great to just jump on and go. I do not worry about lossing my balance pushing the bike back or all the other stuff with getting a little weaker with age. Now that I'm used to 3 wheels I hardly notice that I do not have to lean. I do not use the revers much because it's just as easy to push back as my Road Glide is. Occassionly I have to use the reverse. I still ride the Road Glide and am looking forward to triking it out. Again welcome aboard and you'll love it.

Ted

What a beautiful trike! Congratulations! Take your time at first, but your grin will get bigger and bigger as the days go by :)

bdsnooks....... beautiful bike.......now that you've had it a little while....what do you think? Still just "definitely different!" or are you LOVIN IT?
