New Guy in N. Texas

New to the world of trikes. Been riding since 1968: Honda's, BMW's and now a Harley Dyna. As I've aged my left leg doesn't have the strength to hold the bike up. Can't decide if I want to convert my current FXD, or buy an existing conversion, or go for the factory Tri-Glide.

Little place called Era. We have a yellow flashing light on Hwy 51, and more cows than people, except when there's a drought!

Opinions on Roadsmith vs. Champion/Lehman technology?

My folks lived in WF from 1968-1971 while I was in school in Denton.

Thanks

Mike

Update

Thanks for all the warm welcome notes. I really appreciate them!

Brought home my first trike yesterday. I found a 2012 Tri-Glide at the local dealer, and traded my FXD for it, plus a few pennies from my checkbook. Bike looks new, with only 1568 miles on the odometer. I figure it was only used by some little old lady on Sunday's to go to the beer store, and then to the Bingo Parlor!:):D

Sounds like waiting 2 years to bring home your first trike paid off. I can't picture a little old lady putting only 1568 miles on a 2012 trike. It must have been some little old dude who bought it just so he could tell the ladies he had a Harley.:Dorag:

Welcome from Missouri! Glad you came back. Sounds like you found 1 not even broke in yet.

Make sure it didn't have any recalls & flush the brake fluid.

Also, check/inspect the tires for cracking & rot. They are coming up on 8 years old.

Thanks Michael,

I ordered 3 new tires yesterday from J&P-best prices I could find! Also plan on a complete fluid replacement of all systems on the Trike.

What's everyone's favorite synthetic oil-Mobil 1, Lucas or Redline?

Thanks again

Mike
