New Deka

Found a new Deka battery for the Tri, On Amazon for $112 free ship & 1 yr . 3 yr old batt has hesitated a few times, even though on Tender all the time. Long ride coming up on a lot of back country riding. So, gonna put a new one in.

When in doubt change it out.......:clapping:.....Smart move cause once a battery starts giving you trouble it ain't gonna get better...

Yep. Be a good Boy Scout and be prepared. Although you should get more than 3 years on that old battery, it's much safer change it. I did the same thing but put my old battery in my gate opener. It went another year but froze the next winter. I'm not sure a new one would have made it but suspect it would. Low charge just not enough to keep it from freezing. At least I got another year. Not bad in my book. So use that old battery in something else. Got a lawn mower or UTV that will accept that size battery ?

Nothing I can use it in. BUT, if ya want to ride up to Ohio, It's yours.

Ha ha, thanks for the offer but don't hold it just for me. Someone up there might be able to use it though. I wouldn't put it in anything that wasn't very easy to get in and out though. It might be good for a hundred starts or not even get in two. Just bouncing it around handling if could finally short a cell. You just never know with batteries.:Shrug::Shrug:

Had an 08 Road Glide. The original battery was still working at nine years. I read that Deka changed processes and the newer batteries weren't lasting as long.

Fact or fiction I don't know but I replaced it with Yuasa.
