new corbin seat

I truly believe it rides better than with my AirHawk cushions, my wife feels the same

Yep.

We have a couple "gel pads" that we use as a "change" option on like longer "day ride"s.

Back in mid '90s when I spent $350 on Progressive rear 416 shocks & fork springs, it was at that time a "bundle". First ride afterwards, she said it was the best money spent so far on MC stuff ... then came a day in about '97 when she said the same about the new Corbin seat ...

... and it was double the $$$.

Love our Corbins. Glad y'all feel same. Hard is OK if it fits!

Hey CrystalPistol - I've seen some of your posts and I'm curious if your trike is a solid axle or an IRS? I just nabbed a used corbin seat off of ebay for $350. however, I'm concerned because my trike is a 2003 motor trike solid axle. I had a corbin seat on an old '85 honda shadow and although it was hard as a rock, I really did like it. I'm hoping I'll like this one.

cheers

Mine is a solid axle Lehman GTL conversion of a 1997 GL1500SE, 215/70-15 rear tires at 22-23 PSI usually, 25 PSI loaded two up pulling small trailer. I think $350 for a good Corbin is a great deal. As I said, a well fitting, broke in harder Corbin is better than an ill fitting but plush anything. I think you'll like it just fine.

the reason I asked if yours is a solid axle is because mine is a solid axle motor trike and the ride is a bit rough. however, I have replaced the airbags with larger bags, and I lowered the tire pressure to about 18 - 20 psi and that helped out a good bit. I'm just concerned that the hard corbin will make the rough ride even rougher. But, like I said before, I got a brand new corbin for my really old 85 honda shadow (a very long time ago), and although is was very hard, I remember it being extremely comfortable. I guess I'll find out. tracking says I'll have it tomorrow, and, if I dont like it, I can probably put it back on ebay and get my money back, but I'm hoping I'll like it. cheers
