We are trying to figure out what to do at our first Wingding. there is so much offered to do and see. We are looking for info from someone who has been there. What do you do first, second, ??? We are signed for the trike driving safety course and one trip to the Wheels thru time ride. I want to visit some/most of the vendors. Besides all the wonderful meals, what else should we make sure that we do / see. We went thru the Smokies in 2010.
:Bug2: We don't want to miss anything but don't know where to start.

Many Thanks for any ideas.
I took the trike class last year in Des Moines. It was well worth the time and effort. The trade show is probably the biggest show going with many of the products geared toward Goldwings. Take lots of $$$ or plastic! You could spend 2 full days just trying to cover the whole trade show. If you need it, you'll probably find it at the show.

Many bike companies will have bikes and trikes available for test rides. And there will be poker runs and self guided rides to go on. Also, there is generally a big parade and a light parade to participate in or just go watch. Great chance to meet and make new friends.

Wing Ding doesn't change all that much every year, content wise, but because of the location changing every year, the best, part in my opinion, is the ride there and back!

Plenty of great food. :Eating1:

You won't need to worry about boredom.

Hope you have a fantastic time at Wing Ding!

welcome aboard. never been to one but just wanted to welcome you.

I have been to three two in fort wayne and one in huntsville.
Go for the whole thing take your time and enjoy it,you will not be able to attend all the stuff that goes on,just not enough time.
Pick out the things you want to do.
Be sure to get in on the light parade.
If you have a trailer take it.
Make your reservations well in advance.
They will have ups there so if you buy anything yo can just have it shiped home.
Be sure your credit card is empty before you go because it will not be after you leave.
Have a good time and be carefull there will be motorcycles every where.

The first night of Wing Ding, Tuesday July 5, I'm going to the Knoxville Zoo. It's free to all the rally goers!

Another thing that we are going to attend is the breakfast boat rides that run up and down the river. It cost $18.00 for the ride and breakfast.

If you haven't rode the roads in Tennessee you are in for a real treat. We ride from NC and find the riding in Tennessee to be as beautiful as anyplace in the country.

If you want more info go to GWRRA.org and it will be your guide or you can PM me.

Your enthusiasm for the upcoming WingDing makes me proud to be from Tennessee! Thanks for the nice words!!

After you get done at Wing Ding, come to East Tenn. we have some of he best riding up here that you have ever seen. We have good hills and good twisty roads as well. I'm looking forward to Wing Ding so I can convince the "Boss" we need a new 1800 trike........

"The Tail Of The Dragon" otherwise known as Deal's Gap is quite near Knoxville as is the Cherohala Skyway. If you are into twisties and beauty, neither is to be missed!

Try and take in the Drill Team performance on Friday the 8th. Also sign-up to compete in the Amazing Team Challenge (single entries are welcome), it's a lot of fun. Enjoy the vendors but don't forget the many different seminars that are being offered, most for free.

Stop by the Rider Education booth and say hello. :wave4:

Let me give you an update!

Today I was able to book the breakfast cruise on the river. $22.00 a piece but it's a two hour boat ride with breakfast.

Went Wing Ding in Billings, Mt in 07. Had my old trike pin striped, changed the whole look of the be bike. Wound up spending a little over a thousand bucks on everything I purchased. Ouch. Took the trike course, was worth it. I rode my trike from Portland, Or. Great ride.
Took some group rides there, beautiful. Wish they would come a little closer for some of us west coast riders that can't take alot of time off to ride back east every year.

Want to thank everyone who has helped fill me in on the WingDing...
My bride is about to run me nuts - SHE IS READY to go now...........
