Well, Nemo found us in NH, I have over 30" of snow and it is still coming down. It has set records in the area for the most snow. My Ford F-150 in not in sight any more and the Mini Cooper was gone out of sight a long time ago, but the Chrysler which is parked next to the Mini is clear of snow-go figure! I went out earlier this morning and had a hard time getting out of my doors. I had to shovel the snowblower out which was covered in snow. I keep it by my cellar door, but the snow blew in there and it covered the snowblower to the point the only thing to see was the shoot. The wind gust are moving all the fir trees around like dolls, but they are still up, which is good!

We are not going to get a break from this till this afternoon. Then the fun will start, I bet I will be out there for 3 to 4 hours clearing the snow. I hope the plow guy will be able to get down the driveway because we have some huge snowdrifts in the middle of it. I am wondering why he didn't come by last night and open the driveway instead of waiting till it was over. Maybe the plow broke down, OH NO! Then it will take me forever to get everything clean. I just heard on the news, Nemo is the number one storm in HISTORY for snow fall! That's a lot of years of snowing in New England because we have been keeping records for a long time.

The street plow has put a 5'+ snow bank in the mouth of my driveway. :AGGHH:
So, if you do not hear from me for a few hours, you will know what I am doing!
Wish me luck!

Well we have 30" too. The state of Conn is closed. We can't use the roads til after noon . I have a 4 foot drift in the center of my drive way. This is a lot of snow . A record was set in Conn. Coldbrook has 38" . The phones are down?Don't know if the Internet is working. My snow blower is under snow. I keep it in the shed about 60 feet behind the house . In my infinite wisdom I moved it to the side of the garage. If not I would have had to shovel a path to it and blow my way out. The garage was full of cars ,motorcycles, and generators no room for it.

32" snow fell in my area. Just got back from a ride on the trike.....Just kidding. My truck isn't even getting out of my driveway. Barely made it back from Charlotte at beginning of storm. Original flight cancelled Thurs night for Fri. Got out before dawn Fri. Same storm followed me home and got me twice. Can't seem to upload pics from my phone. Maybe laptop later.
Went out with my snowboard. Kept sinking straight down. Officially stuck in the house. For day. The wife is not pleased. As you can imagine, this now means she has to put up with me all day.

Being a little bit of a wise acre,my day is starting at 58 degree, however it is supposed to rain tonight around midnight.Hope y'all stay safe & warm.Prayers are up.

We have 10 plus inches predicted here in MN by Monday morning so you guys will probably see a spin off that storm too....:gah:

We had about 24'', not too bad. Pam and I enjoyed being out shoveling and snow blowing. The sun is out and helping where the blacktop is showing. Now I'llspend the rest of the day with a good book. Everyone stay safe.
Tom

We are "graduates" of Wisconsin and of St. Lawrence County (on the river), NY and have had our share of snow over the years. Now in coastal NJ, our 6"-7" may seem like a mere flurry, but I'll settle for it. (Thank you, Mother Nature.) Looking forward to Spring!

Hi everybody, I just came in and took a shower to warm up, so, from 10 AM to 4 PM, that's a lot of snowblowing. The drifts in the driveway were over the snowblower. It was a heavy blown snow so I couldn't take a big bite with the blower. The end of the driveway was eye level, so I had to knock it down and blow it away. I am not finished, tomorrow I will clean the vehicles and finish the parking area, today I just did the driveway.
Well, I tell you what, several years ago this would have been a piece of cake, but now, I can feel it! I bet I will sleep like a baby tonight.
Golly gee, I just remembered I missed the Bruins today, don't tell me the score, I am sure they will have a replay tonight!
Hope everybody is doing great after Nemo came and went.

Ultra Fred has been quiet. Yes Rosy I felt the difference . It took me from 12 to 3:30 for me. My blower did great, the guy across the street saved a buck and bought a 5 HP 24" blower and he fought the drifts. Then he blew a sheer pin. I tell people that buy blowers at Lowe's . Buy the biggest you can afford. I needed every inch of my 30" cut and 10 ponies. Oh wait see photo below. Wish I could post more than one. Sorry picture post won't work ??:p

From the sunshine in the picture, it looks like the snowfall is finished --- I hope that is actually true! Y'all take care of yourselves. Far better to spread all the work over a couple of days than to bring on a heart attack by over-doing in one day!

My wife and I were married in Dover N.H. in 1963 at Dover Babtist Church, and still have family there, although none of them have motorcycles. They've been sending their own pictures today. I guess you won't be riding your motorcycle much in the near future.; that's why my wife and I moved to the Sunshine State.

Your right Nana, do it in two and take it easy. I just finished my two days of work. I started at 10 AM and got the rest of the parking area done at 1 PM. I have a common driveway and the lady next door husband passed a few years ago, so I do the yard work and snowblowing. Our driveway is 16' X 100' with a T at the end. So, the driveway looks like a big T. She has a grandson that plows, but you never know when he will show, so I start the cleaning and if he makes it fine, and if he doesn't that's OK, also.
Haven't heard from Cheri or a few of our fellow trikers in NH. I hope they are OK, because we had some places that lost power and the shelters were filling up fast. I was 0 when I woke this AM and now it's 47 and snow is melting in the driveway.
Not a cloud in the sky, and if you look out the window you would love to take the trike for a ride, NOT! Well, maybe Bozo would take a ride today, he rides in all kinds of weather.
For those who are home and vegging great, for those who are still at it, take it easy like Nana says, and for those who we haven't heard from, we hope you are OK and safe!

Couple from my street. They plowed my street till 2 am. this morning.

Jonesy, I hope that's not you blowing snow in the road! I think there is an unwritten law that says you can't put snow on city roads. Oh well, hey have you heard from Spiritdream to see how she is doing?
Got snow today and now it has turned to rain. Raked my farmer's porch roof today, but had to stop because it got very slippery on the ladder. Took two big loads off, but there is still lots more. The snow was half the way up the dormer windows. Had to open the top half of the window so I could get the snow away from the window so I could open the bottom half without having a foot of snow in the room. Way too much snow!
See you soon!

My drive ways is the same 110x 12 then Otis a 2 car carafe wad for the last 15 feet
I love the snow, takes the boredom out of life for me
I was living in Ga for a few years. Only way we knew it was Xmas was to see it
On the calendar. Vietnam was even worse 80 deg. Xmas morning. Snow will be all gone in 4 weeks

Boy, that's a bold prediction on the snow, maybe in Conn, but here, end of March before I take my golf clubs out of storage.
I have piles of snow that are taller than me, OK, no jokes on how tall I am, they are at least 7' tall. Some are so tall my snowblower couldn't throw snow over them.
These are the times I wish I had my 10hp snowblower, but had to get a smaller one for Janice to use. We had a big storm when I was in TN working and when I got home she had a black and blue from knee to her belt where the 10hp hit a piece of ice and kicked her. I mean that thing was a purple as a grape. So, sold it to a friend of mine who always wanted it and bought a smaller one. Can't really justify getting a new one because this one run like a top and it is at least 20 years old. That's when they put real thick steel into a snowblower, not like the tin can ones they make now with all the safety gagets on them.
Well, we will see what the weather brings tomorrow so I can finish the job.

Aaaarrrgggghhh!!! Typed all sorts of things that vanished into cyberspace. Something about telling the wife my snow blower was a powered walker. She didn't fall for it. Finally plowed road out Monday morning. She is sick of being housebound with me. Kept on sending me out to play in snow as video hopefully shows if I paste link correctly.

You forgot to put on your idiot mittens, so your hands wouldn't get cold. I guess we are going to speak to Di to dress you correctly before you go out to play. I see the snow was a little deep and you had a hard time getting up!
You are bad, no wonder Di wanted you to go play in the snow, I am surprise she didn't tell you to go play in traffic or chase the snowplows.
Talk to John, maybe Lowes has a snowblower with a seat so she can help you plow, please, don't tell her I said that!
Glad to hear you are doing fine. BUT, haven't heard a word from Spiritdream, I wonder how she is doing?
Take care and behave!

Rosy your comments to Bozo were good except telling him to behave - he's a clown

You're right, a clown, always a clown, and mischief is part of daily life! Poor Di, no wonder she told him to go play in the snow! I understand now! :qpnmt:
Have a great day, Coach 64, see you soon!

Couldn't wear the mittens. Needed my fingers to operate the cell phone video.
Took the trike up to CT for some jobs today. Real tight squeeze past trailer and pickup on one side and the snow wall on the other.

You got that right. Took the Mini out for a run to buy oil and filter for the trike and boy at times it was lucky I had a small car because the roads were very narrow. It seemed that the two lane roads were 1 1/2 lanes today. I noticed the city is starting to clear snow from a lot of the streets to make them wider.
Tinbasher said he got 1' of snow in North West, UK from the tail end of Nemo. I am sure they do not have the means to plow that much snow in his part of the UK. WOW, Nemo was not a very nice guy!
Take care and watch out for the semis and snowbanks!
Be Safe!
