Hey guys and gals, Got an opportunity to buy a 2009 Goldwing trike for 25,500. Under 5,000 miles, am/fm/ cd player, navigation system, midnight blue, good tires, new battery, running boards, windshield is adjustable up/down, grips/seat warmer, reverse, everything works test drove it. I'm seriously thinking about buying it. I think its a great price but would really like to hear see your opinions.

If you're that serious about considering it, have an REPUTABLE authorized dealer for the trike conversion go over it to make sure you aren't gonna find a nasty surprise after the purchase (I used to do this with cars & trucks I looked at). Tell the seller you'd like for a dealer to go over the unit, if it's in good shape and has no "hidden" issues, you will pay the fees for them to go over it. IF they find an issue that needs attention, it's up to the seller to pay the shop fees.

It helps keep the seller "honest", and helps ensure you don't end up with a bike that's gonna need a thousand dollars worth of work right after you buy it. That's just my .02

Thanks, really hadn't tough about having it checked out since trike has low mileage and hardly been ridden. Seller seems really trustworthy and up front about why they are selling the trike. Its a really good idea though.

Don't mean to sound stupid tfdeputydawg but I really don't know (didn't check). I just know that it drove and felt good. I did not experience any shacking, wobble on slow turns as I did with a 2015 HD. Not putting down HD I love Harleys but it just turn/felt smoother.

If you could post a pic there are many here that could ID it for you. Or I suppose you could just ask the owner.
I paid a thousand more plus shipping from GA to UT for my 06, comfort, navi. with a 12 Roadsmith conversion.
I'm sure it is a good deal or you could shop more. If you are shopping for a trike buy what you can afford and enjoy the ride.

With that few miles over nearly 7 years I would be more concerned about how long it has set with so little use. If I were buying it I would plan to take to reputable dealer (if you don't do your own wrenching) and have all fluids changed, including clutch and brakes unless owner has service records. Where was bike parked? If mice present I would change air filter because there is probably a mouse house present.

Bottom line is that I would plan to spend a little money pretty quick to be sure the trike was in top notch condition. If the tires are original and seven years old I would change them immediately.
