Any advise on how to raise the shifter box approx 6" from the horizontal using universal couplers & brackets. It was mounted horizontal 6" in front of the transmission coupler there is no way I can reach it there.By the way I just cleaned and rebuilt the CVs I think the first one took 5 hours the other 3 took 20 mins total thank goodness for the WWW.

The longer the rod the more offset you can get.

A buggy super shifter works with u-joints. Still need to get some length to that rod.

A stock type shifter box wont take much anglular mis-alignment. You could swing it a couple degrees from the tranny coupling, but the stock type shifter box needs to be inline with the rod.

Or you could build some crazy z-bar bell crank thingy and put the shifter where ever you want. My shifter is bolted to the top of the engine case.

So anything can be done if you want to bad enough.
Picture up and everyone will help.

Thank you DeathBySnuSnu. I have bought the super shifter kit ,I am going to use about 24" of shifter rod and raise above the horizontal by about 6" .Have never done any thing like this befor this is getting very interesting but fun
