I'm assuming your talking about the socket for removing the nut for the transmission sprocket. Here are some pics, I don't have it handy right now to measure.
There is a round support which screws onto the output shaft to keep from having the socket pop off and damage stuff. There is a lot of torque applied to both remove & install this nut so the tool has to be up to the task. If you don't want to make one you can get one from Georges Garage.
