That was a long’ long time ago in a country that no longer exist it’s about time to let it go..!

Not easy to let it go, when you lost buddies and relatives there. Many came back physically and mentally damaged and quite a few never recovered from it.

I disagree with you on letting it go, as we learn from history and if we don't learn, then we will continue to make the same mistakes again!

May God bless all of our veterans, both living and those that have passed on.

I remember seeing some of the older mama sans with black teeth. If! I remember right didn't they chew the beetle nut to relieve tooth aches?

It’s a mild narcotic, especially the leaves and roots of the plant and use the relieve pain of gum disease that and the marijuana cigars they also smoked…. if you were there, and had your boots on the ground, you would met some very interesting people, especially the Yards….Hard to believe it’s been 58 years since I was there..And yet I can still smell the place…..
