I now feel like a real part of this community!! I have a trike of my own sitting in our back garage. We had my Road King converted to a trike by Kool Trikes of Juneau Wisconsin and they did a wonderful job. My husband wanted to paint the body himself, he is an auto body tech by trade and to save some $$ and to have a little of his craftsmanship added to my trike. We got my bike back this past Wednesday. We had the Easy Steer added, (10 degree rake), we also had reverse gear added. They put on brushed chrome rims and set the exaust pipes out a bit for a nice looking effect. I love it!! I'm working on adding photos, and the first ones are a little crude looking since the body is still in primer and body putty. We need to add felt to the back trunk compartment. Does anyone know where we can get the material for this and how to install it? Kool Trikes would have done it all for us but we opted to do it oursleves. I will post more pics when it's all finished. Now let's just hope the weather cooperates so I can still get some riding and bonding time in before we have to store it for winter!!

Congratulations on your new ride and please post pictures when they're available. Ride safe! ThumbUp

Congrads! You will love triking! Ride slow and safe till you get some miles under you.
You are correct about weather! Lucky you are not here in NH, rain-more rain- and more rain-maybe till Tuesday! No riding this weekend!
Look at Auto stores for felt and I suspect they use a spray contact cement to glue it on. Be carefull when you spray, I am sure your hubby will masked everything before you get started.
Post pictures when you can!

This conversion kit is all done in house by Kool Trikes owner Randy Butler. He designed his own independent suspension. My husband and I were very impressed when we went down there to check it out. He takes longer to build each trike since he does most of the work himself, but it's really worth it. I'll try and get up more photos of the suspension.

I found the felt lining at Peb Boys auto parts, and used spay carpet trim adhesive to install it. First I cut the bottom piece, then the wheel wells, and last the back and front walls. It looks OK, but if you know an upolsterer, or carpet guy-it would be a cake job for either. Good luck and congrats on your new toy! Also, with the 10 degree rake, you will probably want to add a steering damper, to even out the fall away (flop) of the front end. I put one on my RK conversion and it is a lot smoother thru the steering range.:D

Talktoric, post some photos! I think Randy likes doing Rockets, I know of three he's done and they all turned out awsome. How did you find out about Kool Trikes??

Even though I am south of the "cheddar curtain", I am always looking for new people to ride with, Packer fan notwithstanding. Maybe we could meet up in the Dells sometime.
Oh, by the way,...GO BEARS!! (sorry. I just couldn't resist!! : ) )
