Has anyone tried calling AT&T???? I did and got someone over seas that I could not understand!!!!! When I asked to speak with someone else or someone in the U.S. I was hung up on.. What a zoo!!!!

And we wonder what is wrong in this world...

Sorry had vent!!!!

You are not alone, LOL!

I dropped AT&T years ago due to a similar experience and good riddance to 'em! If they're going to outsource jobs previously held by Americans and being that the type of work our people lost involves verbal communication, the least they could do is hire someone over "there" that can speak INTELLIGIBLE English!

Ride Safe.......

you gotta hate those over seas call centers... It's kind of funny if you bitch enough they transfer you back to the states... which is where you should be calling any way! DAMN THE MAN!

I was disconnected when I asked for someone in the U.S. !!!!

I guess now all we need is for Nana or Blondie to pop in with their great knowledge or wisdom!!! I know women know everything

To the best of my knowledge, Verizon call centers are in India. I recently had extensive conversations with Comcast / Xfinity and ALL were with call centers in the USA. One of them, even though it was here, the person sounded like he/she was straight off the boat from Haiti or somewhere else in the west Indies. All in all, Comcast was a pleasure to work with.

LOL! You are funny! :D

Actually, I despise getting a non-english-speaking "helper" also! Fortunately, the last time we had to call AT&T (did you know I-phones don't swim???), we got a wonderful lady somewhere in the USA who knew exactly what she was doing. She even went out of her way to overnight a new phone to us at no charge. I was hoping that her helpfulness and knowledge indicated a trend toward US call centers........

I just got off the phone with AT&T regarding a service problem. I spoke with an American woman in Customer Service and then another American woman in their Technical Center.

You got to speak to a human being????????

WOW! You must have the magic touch!

We sent a check (as usual) to pay the cell phone bill - said they never got it.
Went to the phone store to pay the bill.... we had to pay $5.00 to get it paid at the phone store!

They ain't mak'n any friends out there.

LOL! You'd think they'd want a domestic person for billing issues. Go figure.

At any rate, my wife and I will be dumping these clowns when our contract expires in May.

Hey, hey, hey. Insult AT&T all you want but what did innocent little clowns ever do to you? :Joker3:

It is a universal problem with customer service-companies get cheaper support by exporting the calls. I personally hate this phenomenon, and especially when your calling with a problem-it just pisses me off worse. I am trying to be nice here, but I feel very strongly that the language of the predominant customer base should be represented!!!! SEOGTFO-if you can decipher that abbreviation you will know how I really feel.:Wrong::Crap:

I feel the same way, it ticks me off when I call a business and after I get the English welcome message it starts rattling off in Spanish. It used to be immigrants wanted to learn their new countries language. I had a guy who worked for me who's grandfather come from Italy. When I ask the guy if his mother or grandfather taught him of the language he said his grandfather always told him he lived in America and his language is English. His mother was never taught the language either.

Tried several different Celi Phone providers,,,, I've used Verizon for years now. When I'm out in the middle of nowhere, Verizon gives me the best chance that I'll be able to make a call if I'm in trouble. After all isn't that why a Cell Phone comes in handy while riding??

I love my AT&T I phone 4. We are 5 minutes from a AT&T Store and the customer service is fantastic. We live in Alachua Florida and never have our calls droped. My wife has a Verizon phone and she is happy with it.

This is for home phone service,,,,, I have Verizon for cell and have been very happy with them and would not switch to another cell provider.

We have the same problem in Australia. We (some of us) blame economic rationalism and capitalism in general. Cheapest labor, highest profits. We get what we pay for, at least that's the idea. market forces dictate service. if we all stopped using phones, market forces would tell them we are P....d off.
