My new novel is up for grabs! RESERVE YOUR COPY NOW!!

The waiting list for the first printing is nearly sold out....let me know if you're interested in getting/staying on the list!!

:Excited:I`ve been working on this book for five years, and am just tickled pink that it`s done! My first novel is headed to the publisher soon, and will be available in the first quarter of 2012. I`m pre-selling copies of the limited-edition first printing, signed and numbered, for $15 to offset
publishing costs.

No trikes, but the basic premise is a biker takes on his club for their behavior, then gets caught up in a war with them, the cops, the feds, and various low-lifes. He recruits some friends to help, and there are gunfights, explosions, car-chases, and some surprises.

I hope everyone has a a terrific New Year. Animal

I love riding. I love reading. And I have lots of time in airports. Please PM me where and to who to mail a check for pre-order.

Wow..............thanks for the interest! ThumbUp The title of the book is "D-E-D, Dead", kind of an inside joke about one of the characters who's been known to say things like "That SOB is dead, D-E-D, Dead."

Before editing, I'm over 130K words, over 400 pages. It will be professionally set up and printed, with a professionally done cover. I'm self-publishing. It started out as a deal for family and friends to read once I got done, but I've been talked into doing more than that. I plan to sell it in person at bike rallies, trike events, car shows, stuff like that. At least I'll have a good excuse to hit all those events. "Honey, I need to go sell my book."

If you'd like to get on the list, let me know your real name, etc. and I plan to have a website up shortly with a PayPal button, or you can send a check or money order.

Thanks again for your interest! I'm really tickled to have people interested in my work.

Not much nudity, other than a little time in a topless bar....This guy's too busy tryin' to save his butt to have time for naked shenanigans. Sorry  As an aside, I used to live in Vernal....not a lot of nudity there, either. :p

Aminial let us know when the web site is setup and the address to it. CONGRATS on the accomplishment.

Thanks, I appreciate it. If anyone has a favorite number they'd like to request, I'll put your name on the list & you can pay when I get the website set up.

If you mean as in order number or book number, put me down for #1 !

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I'm pre-selling the limited edition first printing of 200 numbered/signed copies. As for #1, my wife claimed that a while ago. Actually, numbers 1-11 are spoken for since I posted this earlier today, and there are a bunch who want books but haven't expressed a preference for a certain number.

I hope that helps....I get kinda scattered every now and then.

Good luck with your book!! Be sure to call or visit your local newspaper and let them know about it. Also your local library might let you set up a "Book Signing". I wrote a "How To" book on scroll sawing, called Animal Portraits In Wood, which was published by Fox Chapel back in 2006 and did a lot of my own promotion in local surrounding towns. That can be pretty successful if you approach it agressively and treat it like a job. Again, good luck and I hope it becomes a very successful effort!!

Thanks for the advice! I have already spoken to a friend at the local publishing company that puts out the various papers in this area. I also know most of the radio station managers from my charity fund-raing days. I plan to hit all of the papers, radio and local tv stations I can, then hit all the rallies and car shows I can, working around my job. We're having a party to pre-sell copies of the first printing, and I've been spreading the word ot everyone I know (and don't know lol) Thanks again, and I really appreciate the interest!ThumbUp

Animal, the checks in the mail. You should get it in a couple of days.:Congrats::Joker3:

Wow...thanks a lot! I appreciate the support. I've got a copy reserved for you, will put your name and address on it when I get it.

I'll be doing all the stuff I've been avoiding (getting a small business started, opening a bank account in that name, building a website) this week. At first, this was going to be a lark, for friends and family, but it's taken on a life of its own. I've got the local newspapers wanting to do a story, as well as the local Tv station. I guess I'll ride it as long and far as it goes. Maybe not far, but who knows?:D

Re: My new novel is up for grabs! UPDATE!!

Ta DA!!!:wave4: My website is up and running, so those of you who wanted to use PayPal can now do that. There is a link at the bottom of this message. Reservations for the Limited-Edition first printing of "D-E-D, DEAD" are coming in steadily. I want to tell all of you how much your encouragement and support mean to me. This is quite an experience, and I'm grateful for the chance to see my project through to the next step. THANK YOU!! Animal

I just wanted to remind those people who want a copy of the first 200 limited-edition signed and numbered books to get your reservation and payment in as soon as possible. There are still some available , but they're going fairly quickly. Don't miss your chance to get one of the first printing!:)
