OMG!! I am having a COW this morning! First of all, Hubby had to go to TN this week to a school to get his Inspectors License for Airplane Maintenance. Meanwhile he has gotten sick out there with some sort of sinus infection that has gone down into his chest. He sounds horrible. He flew himself out there and was supposed to come home tomorrow. But he is so sick, he is not sure he will be able to fly himself and may have to spend a day just recuperating which would put him home this weekend. At any rate, he says to me this morning....."I feel so bad and I have lied to you" "Your Trike is IN and has been for a few days! I was planning on having someone fly me down there on Saturday and driving it home and putting it in the hanger for you for Christmas! But now I am too sick.!!" People, my TRIKE IS HERE!!!! AND MY husband is SICK!
Now, how to get it, as it is over 2 hours away. We have a trailer, but don't know if the ramp is wide enough. I will go get it myself if it will fit. I am SO EXCITED!!!!!

By the way, isn't he just a wonderful man? I love him so much.

O-M-G!!!!!!!

That is the BEST news! Merry, Merry Christmas!!!!!!!
Give that man a kiss from me too. LOL!

Suggestion: Without doubt the dealer will have ramps to make it wide enough to LOAD the trike on the trailer. The only catch is how to get it off again when you get home. A local motorcycle shop of any brand would no doubt be willing to help, then you could ride that baby home from there !

Nana, my trailer is enclosed with permanent ramp. I also have a horse trailer that has a ramp wide enough for sure, but don't know how I would tie it down in there. Bet I could figure out a way!!! Thanks, Nana
Oh, just realized that I can't go get it myself. My hubby has the checkbook and it is in an account where it would need his signature. Geezzz. I almost wish he had waited to tell me. But I'll deal with it and absolutely NOT complaining.

Well congrats on the new trike. I hope your husband gets better soon. I know this is killing him as much as it is you. He sounds like a very caring and loving man. Wishing you both a Very Happy Holiday Season.

Ride safe and post some pictures for us

WOO-HOO!!!
Pardon my yelling, but I just couldn't say that loud enough.
I'm so thrilled for you, IHP! What a wonderful gift, and what a heckuva man! He sure is a keeper.

I know you're just itching to get your hands on your trike--even more so now that you know it is DONE and ready to ride. This is so exciting! Keep us updated on when you finally get it home--before Christmas I hope.

And I'm crossing my fingers for you to have some good riding weather during the holidays--hey, stranger things have happened!

Whew, you have so many things going on here, Gal. Here's what I'd do:

  • First, I'd go ahead and finish having that Cow. I feel confident that will have a relaxing effect on you.
  • Next, and this is a very important step, is to contact where he is staying and verify that he is truely sick. It occured to me that this just may be the best Bimbo cover story I've ever heard. I'm just trying to help here. Don't kill the messenger!!
  • Finally, I'd check around with the local 18-19 year old guys to see if a 6'2" blue eyed one of them might "help" you go get your new Trike.
Now, I'm just trying to figure a way to get your trike home, so don't turn on me and go into one of those "Lady" modes and attack. You can ask Nana. I'm always just trying to help.

Relax, all things happen for a reason. There might have been an divorce waiting. I could see that scenario playing out right off.

Seriously, Congrats on the new ride. You'll be in the saddle soon enough.......

Buzzard

Funny Buzzard....for sure he is sick. He sounds Horrible and it is impossible for him to fake that!!! Deep, Deep raspy cough. But being a MAN, I am sure you know all the ploys! But I'm not worried, at least I have my trike. LOL!

Heck only 2 hours away. I would find a kind soul to give you a ride there and drive it back.As far as a trailer I have a trike trailer made by Stringer folding motorcycle trailers in No. Cal.Made just for trikes but can also trailer a 2 wheel also.Good luck getting you trike. Ken

Measure the width of the opening if it is 60 " wide it will fit if it is a Hallmark trailer by any chance it will fit. Unless it is a Hannigan trike they are a little wider. Mine a DFT fit in a 6' X 9' enclosed Hallmark trailer. Width between the tires is only about 50"

Hi,
I contacted Stinger about a month ago and they are working on a model for the Stallion. Ken(perhaps) stated that the present model for trikes would not work for the stallion. Aluma is working on a revision and will be available for sale in Feb. Good loading

OK, IHP..... All your friends out here in TrikeTalk world are dying for an update!
And we also wonder if your husband is feeling better.

The suspense is killing me. did you get it ? How did you do it , and How is Hubby? What does it look like We need pictures of you in it.:p

Hubby got home last night and we went today to get the Trike!!! OMG!! I cried, it is so awesome. When we got down there, they were having a big shindig going on and gave away a Bike. So there were people EVERYWHERE!!! It took us 4 hours to get the trike, pay for it and load it. But it was so much fun. Now this dealer is 2 1/2 hours away and the girl that won the Bike (Sportster 883 low) looked familiar. Turns out she was my step-daughters roommate yrs ago. This was out of hundreds of people and over a hundred miles from home.

AWESOME!!

I was so happy for her, although she doesn't ride (yet) She is going to take the course.

Anyway, we got home about an hour ago. When Hubby got the Trike ("MY Little Pony" )off of the trailer I got on and took it for a very short spin at the airport, until I got to laughing and giggly so much, I completely lost it and almost put her in the ditch. Think I will wait till daylight and take it easy. The power is something I am not used to. It is the most awesome machine. OH, Plus they did a poker thing at the dealership and as they took me around to meet all of the staff, I got to pick a card from everyone's deck. I got 3 aces and a king. I won $75 so I bought a new chrome bumper .

This was the BEST day. Pictures will be taken tomorrow with Santa hat.:D
