My heart skipped a beat today

For the past few years I’ve not had to use the hazard flashers and really dreaded it when I had to. After I would turn them on, it would take maybe a hundred or more tries to get the flashers to turn off. That flasher button would just stay stuck in. Well today was the day! I decided to look into the repair.

I removed, cleaned, lubed, and right after I tried to install the piece with wires attached, the spring shot away, and that’s when my heart skipped a beat!

I looked and scoured the area with no luck.

Feeling defeated, I went looking for something to replace that lost spring and found a push button that I thought might have a spring in it and decided to tear it apart, but, the spring was too fat and weak….

I grabbed a hi intensity flashlight and proceeded to shine a beam all around the garage floor, and just when I was about to give up again, I found it. Talk about a sweet feeling…...

It sprang one more time before I got it back together, but, it’s fixed now!

I’ll try and use a big plastic bag next time to help contain exploding items.....

It works like it should! Happy

Glad it turned out alright for you Eric, been there a few times myself, very frustrating for sure.
