I am considering a mustang seat for my 2012 csc gl1800 trike and would like to hear from the members as to the ride and quality of the mustang seat...thanks

I've had 3 Mustang seats on bikes and that should tell you what I think of them. My last Mustang, I had for 14 years and it still looked like new. I sold the bike to my neighbor and he changed just about everything on the bike except for the seat. That was 6 years ago and the seat is still on the bike and looking good. The Wide Vintage is the second most comfortable seat I've ever had and I've been riding for 47 years. My current Danny Gray beats it, but it cost a lot more and is leather. You would be hard pressed to find a better seat. They are well made, durable, and most important, comfortable. If I needed a seat, I'd get another in a minute without looking for anything else. They are top notch in my book. Some like the harder Corbins, but I like Mustang.

I have a Mustang seat on my Road Star. I realize they aren't exactly a GL but still I have ridden it coast to coast with that seat.
I am looking for the best seat for the GL and am leaning towards a Russell Daylong seat. It is mad to fit my fat.....well you get the idea.

We just replaced our stock GL1800 seats for Mustangs. We only have about 500 miles on the new seats and they aren't really broken in yet, so my opinion is still being formed. I can say that for me the riding position is much more comfortable. My wife lost some space, thus less comfortable for her. We ended up replacing her back rest also, which helped a little. I'm 6/4 so for me, that extra inch or so I gained was worth the expense, and it was expensive. My wife disagrees. If you're a taller guy, you will probably like the riding position.

Bike seats are definitely a part of the bike that really doesn't matter what others like, it's all about what YOUR backside likes and it really helps to sit on as many as you can. While I was lucky to find a HD air seat for my TG, I took the time to check out a lot of seats for my 92 FXSTS and found a Mustang seat that sits great & looks great.

I have had a couple Mustang seats and the quality has always been excellent. The comfort was top notch, definitely an improvement. My wife and I loved them, that is our assessment. Later Earl
