Shipped on Wednesday about 4:00, received Friday at 2:30. Wasn't expecting till Monday, nice surprise for weekend ride. Going on 300 mile ride tomorrow, will let you know if it's as good as the Mustang seat on my softail. That one is good for a solid 8 hr run.

I was actually wondering about how long it took Mustang to make and ship the seat after you ordered it?

What are your comments now after your break-in ride on Saturday?

Thanks,

Sunman

It took exactly 4 weeks from order date to ship date. My first impression of the seat is it's a great improvement over the stock seat. Road about 8 hours and really only had to stop for gas and to stretch my legs. No butt pain for me. My wife felt a little cramped with the rider back rest but that is more of a flaw in the sissy bar placement not the seat. On my softail the front of the passengers back rest is flush with the back of the seat. On the FW the back of the pad is flush with the back of the seat. Loses about 2 inches. For a shorter rider Mustangs forward seat would probably be better. Would give the passenger an additional 2".

But I'm 6'2" with 34" inseam and 35" sleeve. Don't need to be any closer to the bars. May have to find thinner pad or rework sissy bar for longer rides

Another note; I never had hip pain riding until the FW. I thought it might be riding position but I have to attribute that to the stock seat as well. Absolutely no hip pain at the end of the day. I think the seat is too rounded and was putting pressure on my hips. All in all I'm extremely happy with the seat.
