Many people dislike electrical issues on bikes and schematics can be confusing!

This simple diagram will help you understand the workings of the system.

Thanks. I've been wondering what all those extra wires were doing under the seat of my trike.

Probably the factory throws in a few extra miles of wire and some oddball electrical gizmos they didn't want to toss into the dumpster.

Of course, we still have a problem - which ones can we tear out to make room for more farkles?

This makes perfect sense to anyone that has had an old British bike or car with Lucas Electrics. Only thing missing is the Lucas Standard Switch marked "Off - Dim - Flicker". ;)

:Agree:

 The reason Englishmen started drinking warm beer was because Lucas also made refrigerators!:D:p

There are a couple symbols missing! such as :xzqxz::p:gah::xszpv::AGGHH::kpzxvq::censored:

Having owned a 1969 B.S.A. and 1972 Bonneville, yep, Lucas the Prince of Darkness made that schematic.

I also owned a triumph spitfire for a time.

I pulled into a gas station and shut it off and the entire wiring bundle under the dash started smoking.
It melted every darn wire under there together. What a bag-o-worms!
