I'm back with the Roadhawk questions!. BTW - thanks t Mark on the help with the electrical problem. Got that fixed and the trike runs like a dream.
This problem is some bureaucrat BS. Got the trike insured, safety inspected, registered, and tagged without a problem. Now the state wants the make, model, year and VIN confirmed by the MO State Police. I have been told by the State Police and someone at the MO Department Of revenue this is just a formality as they aren't sure exactly what it is we're titling. I guess the Minnesota title wasn't enough.

I found all the markings on the trike - VIN stamped on the head stock along with the sticker, engine # below the generator stand if they need it and the sticker and stamp with the serial number on the frame under the seat.

Roadhawk Ser. #.jpg

Most is self-explanatory but could you decipher the serial number for me?

RHA0708 - RH is obviously Road Hawk, 07 is most likely the year, but the rest is a mystery.

i'd like to point this out to them to help confirm the info they are requesting.

Thanks

Hey Ozarkryder - glad to hear everything is working out OK in getting your Roadhawk titled.

Here's the answer to your question: Frame RHA0708
RH: Roadhawk
A: Automatic
07: Year of manufacture
08: Sequence number

Don't fret. The form that the State Police have to sign is just a formality that the trike is not stolen. I do it all the time here in Florida. Someone brings their vehicle in from out of state and a police officer has to sign a form after he runs the vin through NCIC to see if it's ever been reported stolen in ANY state. If it comes back clear the officer signs the form and you take it to DMV. I think they should have asked for that when you first went in, but that's all it is.

Jim- Thanks for the info. That will help a lot.

Gorilla - I got the title to the trailer I got from the same owner of the trike back in about 2 weeks. Seems Missouri doesn't quite know what the Road Hawk is. The inspection will be just to verify the year, maker and VIN. It is a formality, and they said the form will take longer to fill out than the actual inspection.
