MC cover

The OE brake and clutch master cylinder covers on my 16 TG are plastic and don't hold their shape well therefor leaking. Harley shows chrome replacements but not sure if they are metal or plastic.

Anyone know?

I thought they were all metal.

I believe those covers also have an O ring gasket. Have you checked the gasket condition?

Mine appears to be plastic and we bought it new.

Seal is in place. Only been off once. You can see the deformation in the cap. I take care not to over tighten using a torque screwdriver.

Was hoping someone had bought the HD chrome ones and could tell me what they were made of.

Call a dealer, ad says heavy duty so would assume they are metal

Never mind folks. Just thought with all this trike knowledge, someone might could help me.

Dealers know as much as whats printed in the catalog and emails are rarely answered.

I agree, They only know what's is printed in the catalogs and sometimes even less!...And E-mails are a waste of time....The only thing i can say is to order it and if its not what you want give it back..:Shrug:...

But are they still metal. The way this country has cheapened things I'd have my doubts. You would think someone could get off their butt and put a magnet to the things and find out then if it's metal or not. Buying and returning anymore of a waste of time than an email?
