I'm in the process of having a DFT Smoothie trike Conversion done on my Harley FLHX (Street Glide). I've noticed that in most of the trike manufacturers' pictures, the front motorcycle wheel is different from the wheels on the rear. I would certainly prefer that the 3 wheels matched (except for width, of course). Like many of the other kits, the DFT kit uses automotive wheels (specifically 16x7, 5x100 FWD wheels). Can anyone recommend a source (other than an expensive, custom, one-off solution) where I might be able to get a matching set?

Ron,

FWIW, I have looked around for the same thing. The best I can find is a chrome stock front wheel and chrome wheels on the back.

The price of wheels has really gone up. I was going to put a set of Cragers on the back, like we used to use in the 60's, they wanted $234.00 each for the Cragers. I decided for that price I could keep shining the old chrome ones I had.

Ron, do you have Discount Tire Stores in your area? I put a set of Cragers on my Motor Trike last year for $140 each, installed. They really look good.

I just got done building a road king with a Eurowing kit. I has 18" rear wheels. I just searched the web sites for front wheels to match what was supplied with the kit. I ended up using hog pro wheels ( pricey because I opted for chrome) in an 18". They shipped the wheel with tire already mounted and balanced. Great people to deal with. I had a wire wheel up front and just did not want to leave it on as it did not match the chrome mags in the rear. I ge alot of comments now.
