:mad:Last Wed. I had the pleasure of catching 5 thieves in a stolen appliance repair van, and commanding them to the dirt with a PA63 Markarov. I had a buddie back me up with my .357 with SJHP hot loads. I never felt so calm in my life! They were all wanted, but all 5 black youths were 15 yrs. old! They looked like men to me though the open sites, though. They had a .22 cal. pistol, tht;s a lucky thing for me. All 5 were released to thier "parents". I can't believe they got off. Anyway, I don't think I'll ever see them around here again! The deputies said I shoulda shot em all, said they are dangerous, and have been career criminals thier whole life. Sad. jimsjinx:confused:

Whoa!!! Scary situation!!! So glad you and your buddy were calm and are safe, and I can't believe those guys were released to their parents.

I have one of the Markarov, pistols and love it... friend of mine got about 5 or 6 of them and I got one off of him... I ordered the Hollow points for mine.. Cathy keeps it and is a darn good shot with it...
I need to clean it now... Thanks for the reminder....

Isn't our criminal justice system something. Now you know what us cops deal with daily. Because they were under 18 you can not put them in jail unless they commit a felony in most states. If it a misdemeanor a report is done and then they get released to the people that are suppose to be setting them straight. All to often the parents can not control them so it is a big circle, until they commit a serious crime, they get killed or they turn 18. Also most of the time that criminal record is restricted from their juvenile days. I always love telling them when I get their date of birth x number of days/years and I will be smiling as I am taking you to jail. And most of the time that day does come. Ted

Thanks for doing what you do, Ted. I never knew what this was like, till I was actually there while these poor deputies and detectives struggled over the phone with judges and juvinile court people, trying to get the green light for the brat's arrest, for 3 hours. Alas, it was all in vain, every time, it seems. These boys are goin down, though. I'm swearing warrents on all of em for criminal tresspass. I know they'll walk, but I enjoy the idea of them being arrested, taken in to see another judge, and screw up a day for them. I'm not gonna let fear of retribution get the better of me. I choose to stand up and do what's right. If they come around here again, they will leave feet first for sure. I'm just staying aware of my surroundings, like I used to. I had gotten complacent in that area, and got a good slap to snap me awake again! I'm going to be prepaired, legally, from now on,too.;);jimsjinx

Oh, and by the way, my pistol is a PA63, 9x18 MM. I was given the little gem for a birthday present! The same guy who had my back with a .357! One hell of a shining example of Army Rangers. He is disabled now, but still a bad ass!! I love mine, too! Shoots straight, and is a potent little close in autoloader. It's lightweight, huh? Pretty easy to stip down, as well. Nice little piece. jimsjinx

Ted
we get em sooner or later, had the opportunity to do that before retirement, but a 13,14,15 yrold will shoot just as fast a grown man will, a shame, but parents are partially the blame as well as the liberal courts, even after all these yrs of retirement i get threats lol,i say come on,i'll introduce you to mr an mrs Glock.

To all: the first level of defense is self. The police can not be everywhere. We are there normally after the fact. Except I got one Thursday in the act. Happens every once in a while in the right place at the right time. as a famous TV Sgt once said: "Let's be careful out there" Ted
