I had a extra head pipe for my M8 engine so got busy today and gutted it,just ordered some heat wrap for it hope this will cut down on some of the heat.Cant do a tune yet still have 1 1/2 years on extended warranty, but that will be next.Heard some where about some one heat wrapping a head pipe that had not been gutted and it cracked,so with out the cat i should be fine,if it breaks i will let you know.

Yes please keep us informed, my 2018 runs out this September and my other warranty kicks in and the dealer said I could do anything I want to it and it will be covered so they say, time will tell.

All for now Trampas

I have tried a decatted header on my last bike, 19 ultra, rode for about 60 miles or so took it back off, seemed to lean for my tastes. Left a white/light gray color in the pipes and stock mufflers. I’m real leery about not running a cat without a tune, mind you it’s just me, lol. I am also itching to start making mods, but have to worry about warranty. I really believe a tune with some auto tune runs would be a big benefit.

The light gray color was probably dust from the cat. I cut them out, sometimes i cannot get all the residue out.
