LRS windshield

Installed a 10' light tint recurve from Long Rider and went for a ride today. Made a BIG difference. No longer do I have an 80mph stream of wind hitting my helmet above my eyes. It's amazing how well that shield pushes the column of air upward away from me.

The fit was perfect and there is no optical distortion in the recurve as with some brands. There is a small amount of distortion along the top rounded edge, however, extending maybe 1/4" below the edge. Being that I went with the stock height, I am looking over it anyway, so I don't see it unless I am looking for it....

YMMV

Don't know how many LRS shields I have purchased but I know it is the only brand I have used for several years now. Never been disappointed.

You must sit tall in the saddle to look over a LRS 10" w/shield. I am 6' and ordered a 8" LRS and barely could see over it and had to order a 7" which is perfect for me.

My question is how the LRS affects the passenger rider. My wife and I are both 5'6", and I never have noticed an issue with the stock windshield, but on cooler days, she can't ride for long before she needs to put on her helmet faceshield due to the cold wind in her face.

Thanks,

When I am looking at the car or the road directly in front of me, yes, I am looking through it, but whenever possible, I like to keep my focus (along with checking mirrors and the lanes beside me), 100 yards or more to the front. When that is the case, I am looking over it. I'm 5'10" and using the stock seat with a sheepskin....
