This Saturday I'm meeting with a local pinstripe artist. I want to spice up the looks of my TG a bit.

Any suggestions, ideas, photos on designs would be appreciated it.

Here's what it looks like right now...a deep blue with black. There already is a silver stripe that separates the blue from the black.

I will have the TP back on it.

Unless the sun is shining directly on the blue, it is just a bit drab.

Thanks in advance!

Remember not to get lacquered after painting just in case you don't like it and want to remove it.....That Scarerow guy was quite good and I think his name is Mountain Man :clapping::clapping:

Kevin, Where did you get the fringe for your clutch and brake levers ?
Did they come braided or did you do the braiding work ?

Thanks, Larry

I know it's not what you asked, but to me, some marbled style airbrush work on the blue (just above the pinstripe as it wraps) would look AWESOME with those colors!! Would create a unique break of the colors and compliment them both nicely, but that's just me.

Kevin, go here http://www.daviescustompaint.com .Lots of pictures of his work on trikes and dressers. There are a lot of pinstriper sites if you Google them. Good luck, I like the pinstripe flames myself.

I agree with Fuzzy, if you trust your pinstriper than just let him or her go at it.:pepper:

If a person ever had the luck to have Kenny do any pinstriping, than that person got what Kenny wanted and 99% of the time that was great stuff.

All kidding aside....Just remember some day you will be selling the bike.....I've seen some spectacular paint over the years that would be incredibly hard to sell down the line. Yours is a cool looking bike, my suggestion would be to keep it cool by not going over the top. But again, just my opinion....jc

Kevin,

I wholeheartedly agree that you may want to sell the bike someday, and less is more (unless you are building a custom bagger; that's why my trike is black!), but I too have toyed with the idea of adding some pinstriping. Last summer I saw a Gold Wing parked outside our favorite Italian restaurant as we pulled in for dinner, with what I have to say was the most spectacular, yet tasteful and understated, pinstriping job I have ever seen. I searched out the owner and asked him about it; he was only too happy to point out that is was done by Chris Cruz in Deland, FL, about an hour north of us here in central FL. http://chriscruzartistry.com I know it is a bit of a hike for you from MS, but it is closer than NY, and his work has to be seen to be believed. And as others have said, point him to the bike and let him have at it!

Thank you for all the input. I'm definitely getting some ideas...keep it coming.

I'm planning on keeping it low key.

I love the work done on my Sporty...see below...but it definitely narrows the universe of buyers, should I ever decide to sell it.

We picked them up at a rally from a guy that does great work. We see him pretty regular at different rallies. Unfortunately I don't remember his business name.

It was straight fringe and Mary braided them...took her 15 minutes. I reckon I could try at it for hours and not get it done. lol

Perfect Looks great... You followed the K.I.S.S rule.....ThumbUp I see so many other bikes where the painter gets carried away!:cxtv:
