I want to trace my trailer wiring back to where it plugs into a 2005 Wings wiring harness. Can someone save me some time and tell me where that plug is? It is on a Champion kit

Same place it would be as a two wheeler. Check a two wheeler wiring diagram. My VTX is behind the right side cover.

Did a quick search and discovered you can access the harness in your trunk or under the seats.

On a two wheel it would be between the saddle bags in the back. That area is now taken up by my lower trunk.

Here is a pic of the wire harness that is beneath the top trunk of an 06 GL with a 2012 RS. The fact that it is a Roadsmith shouldn't have a great deal to do with the GL wire harness.

If it came wiyh a trailer hitch the chances are good the trailer wiring is hidden under the rear if the body somewhere. It took me some time to find mine but it was there wired to the bike. There will be no plug installed though.
